Home Health Aides or Homemakers may be what you require. This group of employees from Community Health Services is a vital part of our Total Health Care Team. Their responsibilities are to assist you with your household and/or personal needs allowing you to stay or to return home.
As with all services that Community Health Services offer, the Home Health Aide/Homemaker’s duties are designed around your individual requirements. This may include help with bathing and dressing, meal preparation, shopping, laundering, light housekeeping, monitoring vital signs, assisting you with prescribed physical therapy exercises, speech drills from the speech therapist, or changing non-sterile dressings, to name a few. Home Health Aides/Homemakers may be just the help you need to recover at home from surgery, for people with disabilities who need help with certain tasks, for older people who with a little assistance could remain independent at home, or for infants who need special care or monitoring.
Home Health Aides/Homemaker service can be provided in conjunction with the other services we offer or independently. Whatever your circumstance, they are available for as little as an hour every other day or up to 24 hours every day. We will design a plan to meet your needs allowing you to remain at home.
All of Home Health Aides/Homemakers are supervised by a Registered Nurse who will make periodic visits to insure that your needs are being met and to also make any adjustments to your plan of care as needed. In addition, all of our Home Health Aides/Homemakers will be providing us with a progress note on each visit to keep us abreast of your overall status and well being.
